Marilyn Locking

Abstract/Impressionist Painter

I grew up in the NW & began painting in high school and was fortunate to sell some pieces.  Life happened and I put painting on the back burner for over four decades.  After retiring in 2016, I took to the brush once again, and now I paint most every day.

My medium is acrylic and I like to repurpose discarded canvases, they can provide unique textures and it’s a way to give new life to a forgotten piece.  I derive inspiration from the masters, Picasso and Modigliani and too many others to name, but I own my style.

My late son Jason was my biggest supporter and was responsible for encouraging me to paint again and for getting my work out in to the world.

For the love of Jason Locking
